Back when i was first giving up self injury. After 4 years of the constant cycle, i promised someone i’d try to find better ways to feel soothed and safe. He has not given up on me yet. I couldn’t sleep from nightmares and flashbacks. So, i would grab my ipod and put on the most soothing song i could find. And, the sadness will never end is about never giving up on someone, no matter what. And, thats been my theme and mantra throughout this past year and 3 months. Its my security blanket in a song. Bring Me The Horizon taught me that you need to chase the sunset and live your life, no drugs, no substances or addictions as a crutch. Because, it does get better. I can promise you that.
I’m sure Oliver Sykes is a great guy but he comes off as a player.

Oli Sykes is my favourite member of the band. He’s REALLY REALLY HOT. But he’s also my inspiration for a lot of the lyrics I write. I love his lyrics. They’re beautiful. Not just one song. Every song. Maybe less so on their earlier stuff, but it’s all beautiful and I can relate to it and I love it. Suicide Season is one of the most beautiful, sad songs I’ve ever heard. The combination of screaming, the guitars and the lyrics is just mindfucking and this is also why they are one of my favourite bands ever.
While my friend and I were waiting for Bring Me The Horizon to come on stage at Warped Tour, and I remember exactly what these girls behind us said, “I’ve never listened to this band’s music before I just know that the lead singer is hot!” My friend and I looked back at them, gave them a dirty look and said “Wow, are you serious?!”…I wanted to punch them in the face…
I don’t like how everyone only knows Oli.
